Also got it while trying to breed bone with lava and mud.

Got two at the same time using ash/lava and ash/mud. Didn't know what it was until I found this page :-)

is anyone else having problems with dragonvale loading, i've unistalled it, installed, turn off my ipod, turned it back on, i have done everything and still won't load up, not even the green indicator bar.

i tried last night twice to get this dragon, failed both times, will keep on trying though if dragonvale ever starts up again.

mine won't load today either. it did this morning, but it won't now.

Got it Three dragons that have fire and earth

I got it in my first tried from Breeding cave with Lava and Blazing.

While trying to get opal dragon I got obsidian dragon (lava+mud"epic breeding island")

I got it today and I am only level 11 by using fire (left) and lava (right) on the first try!

Got it with lava/mountain

Got it first try with air and bone.

We got it first try firefly(left) crystal(right) both level 8 normal breeding cave.

I got so many obsidians while trying opal dragon

was trying to breed this and got an opal dragon =)

Just bred earth and sonic trying to get an olympus and have 8 hours breeding time.....could it be Obsidian?

It wasn't :0( it was a sonic but have just bred crystal and air and got a 35 hr wait!!!!!!!!!!

Kept on getting lava whilst trying to get this dragon
i did earth and fire
then fire then earth. and still it was lava! :(
now im waiting on the breeding of lava and earth to try and get obsidian :D hope it works

Got it by accident. I just breeded a earth and poison dragon randomly to see what I would get and it happened to be an obsidian dragon.

ja my level is higher than all of you i'm level 40 i have 4 island all the types of dragon

weird story... well not realy,I bought one and bread it /w a plant dragon trying to get a sakura and got an Indonesian,not completely weird but still kinda strange

I got the obsidian dragon by breeding ice and lava, don't know if it was just a one off or not :D

Mud + lava gave me Obsidian!

I was trying to breed a panalog dragon but instead I got an obsidian dragon so I think it is mud + blazing or lava + fog try both (I know it's a hassle but it is worth it 100%)

Sometimes theres a possibility for two dragons with breeding combos , like quake + flower. Possibilities : love,crystal,poison,flower,quake,obsidian,sakura,lava, and many more. Your problem is that there is a different dragon using the same elements, but you are aiming for one of those harder - to - get - dragons. Try breeding hybrids together, it might give you obsidian, but you are sure to get many other dragons you didnt have before. And youre not doing anything wrong, this game is all about chance, but there is one thing about it : its always a 1 percent chance to get rainbow, no matter what combo yo use.

I breeded a obsidian and a magnetic dragon and its going to take a day and 15 hours, any idea what it may be.....?????

Got it on my first try using a Moss dragon (lvl 4) and a fire dragon (lvl 8)

Been trying so hard... Earth and fire over and over always 10 hours stupid red egg with white diamonds... I got one and displayed it since I want a display of each and the dragon but now I can't seem to get another one to hatch it... Is earth and fire best combo to use or should I try hybrids? Or will that just make it worse since its bringing in more elements? Add me gem4gem I send my 6 to the first 6 that send to me when I get my daily 6 gems to send.. I've tried to get it, but 4 some reason it's eluding me... just been using good ol' earth and fire... same thing's happening w/ crystal.

I have tried to get this dragon for a long time but I just get lava dragons.I tried it both ways to get it using fire the earth or earth then fire, but just get lava. Are I doing it wrong?

P.S I'm only level 12
